Physical and immunization Records
Each child enrolled in the childcare facility is required to have on file a health statement, the yellow sheet, and an up to date immunization record, the blue card, within the first thirty (30) days of enrollment. After that the child will be excluded from the program until the requirement is met.
Arrival & Departure
For the safety of all, children must never be left without direct transfer from parent to staff. Children should be brought in directly to the class area or playground and parents will return to the class area or playground to pick them up. The parents must follow sign in and out procedures at each drop off and pick up in order to ensure the safety and accountability of all the children. Parent will be charged $1.00 for sign in and $1.00 for sign out all the time you fail to follow the procedure. Children should arrive by 9:00am for the start of the curriculum program.
Any late pick up will be charged $5 per minute.
Absentee/Vacation
Each enrolled family is given one (1) week of vacation time after eight (8) months of continuous attendance at A Growing Place Academy. This time can be used by the day or all at once. A two (2) week notice is requested to schedule vacation time, or any change in your services. After an absence of three (3) weeks a re-registration fee is due. A two (2) week notice is requested for withdrawal.
Childcare
Referral
For each family you refer to A Growing Place Academy your family receives a $50 free when the new family has been enrolled three (4) weeks. There are three (3) referral coupons on the back of the handbook.
Holidays
The center is closed to observe the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving & the day after
- Christmas Day
When the holiday falls on a weekend the center will follow local government / school closings.
